Introduction: Logan Walker

My name is Logan Walker and I am from Richmond, Virginia. In high school I played baseball and football. I played baseball on the varsity level for all four years in high school. I played junior varsity football until my sophomore year in high school before deciding to only focus on baseball. I now play baseball for Bowling Green State University. The female athlete that I would most like to see compete is Jennie Finch. Although I will never get that chance because she is now retired, I would have liked to see her play because she was the face of softball and was a very good pitcher. The male athlete I would most like to see compete is Ray Lewis. The reason I would love to see him compete is because he is so passionate for the game and I really respect that and the positive things he does off the field. I believe Ray Lewis is very inspirational and I love watching his interviews. Finally, I have no concerns about taking this class. I believe the subjects we will be discussing will be very intriguing and I’m anxious to hear what everyone has to say about them.

  1. Hi Logan,

Thanks for sharing your Introduction. What position do you play in baseball? I can definitely understand your wanting to see Jennie Finch play. Even though she is retired, I have seen her appear in fun tournaments where they featured star athletes and entertainers. As I recall, she married a player from the Arizona Diamondbacks (maybe also a pitcher). Since you like Ray Lewis, does that mean you are a Ravens' fan? If so, you probably liked the outcome of last week's play-off game against the Broncos. I am sure that this week's game will also be intense.

I appreciate your contributions in class and look forward to reading more of your future entries. This entry is a bit on the short side; remember that each entry should be about 250 words.
